Give yourself a pat on the back, you’ve made it this far. Even if you’ve only taken a baby step towards achieving your goals, you’re on your way there. You will get there. The zeal of the Lord will accomplish it.
Surrender to Him and watch Him swing to action.
This is a lesson I learnt over the weekend: God’s work does not depend on us. We play ourselves when we refuse to serve, or when we serve as though we’re working unto man.
Hello friends! I hope you’re all doing great. For today’s mellow Sunday post, I’m sharing a few songs that I’m currently loooooving. I randomly decided to feature Tasha Cobb… Source: Soundtrack for your Week
I can only ask the Lord for help. In my journal this morning I wrote. “Dear Holy Spirit, just as you inspired the writing of the ENTIRE scriptures, please inspire me in all the work that I have to do this semester.”
The Holy Spirit is good at using words, He is the best wordsmith that there is, so what better way to guarantee quality work than to rely on Him.
“If human love does not carry a man beyond himself, it is not love. If love is always discreet, always wise, always sensible and calculating, never carried beyond itself, it is not love at all. It may be affection, it may be warmth of feeling, but it has not the true nature of love in it.”
It is a divine privilege when the Almighty God involves us in His divine plan for this earth. When we act slow or sluggish or let inconsequential problems like money or reputation take us away from God’s plan for ourselves, we’re playing ourselves.
If only we knew the mighty privilege that we have to be bearers of the Lord’s promise to the entire earth, we’d act right.
Your talent may be the reason why someone will come to Christ. It may be the one avenue for someone to hear the gospel and be saved. Actually, even if not for anyone else, use your talent for you. Feel the fear and do it anyway. You’re not too big to fail, and a failure isn’t really a failure unless we don’t learn from it. Resolve to try and try and try again.
I’m sitting at a computer at my college library. It’s 10:07 pm on a mundane Tuesday. I’m thinking about God’s love for me. It’s literally arrested my heart and forced me to write these thoughts down.
I only have one plea: let God love you the way He wants to love you. You deserve the purest, most beautiful, most genuine kind of love that exists.
And that only comes from God.
The Holy Spirit is here to show us God’s secrets and to help us to fulfil them.
Imagine throwing a surprise party for someone and getting them exactly what they want? That’s what the Holy Spirit helps us to do for God. He teaches us how to touch the heart of God and how to walk in the light of God so that we do not fail.
Isn’t this so exciting?
If you’re ever afraid of where you’re headed in God, please rest. You’re not powerful enough to overturn God’s will. If you submit to Him, He will lead you and guide you to where He wants you to do.
