Drink till you are filled

Hello friends,

I hope you all are well. I’m doing well, just a little overwhelmed with school work and the papers that I have to submit before Spring break. I pinch myself several times realizing that I only have half a semester left to graduate from university with my degrees, by the grace of God. Perhaps after I graduate, I will share some of my preconceptions about university, especially university in America, and whether or not my experience over the past four years met or refuted my expectations.

That said, I have a sermon to share today. I’ve been very consistent with my blogging since I got over the hump last year. Please clap for me!

I listened to this sermon on Friday night and it touched my heart. As many of you know, Pastor Adeboye is my favorite preacher and I have come to know and love God more and more through his sermons and teachings.

Even if you’re not Nigerian or African, or you’ve never heard of this old preacher man, please give this sermon a listen. The word of God is alive and active, and it doesn’t matter who bears it. It has the power to transform your life and to turn your circumstances and your situations around.

I know that someone will be blessed from listening to this sermon and that’s the only reason why I’m sharing it. It may be you, it may be someone you know. Please listen and enjoy.

Haha, also if you’re wondering, the man beside him is translating the sermon into Yoruba language for those listening who do not understand english.

The gist of the sermon is that God calls us to come and drink from His never ending fount. This section below comes from John 4:13,14, 21- 24. This is what the sermon is about in a nutshell. Still, listen to the sermon. I don’t want to share my notes because I’d really love for us all to listen for ourselves!

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Have a wonderful week ahead, don’t forget that Jesus loves you and that He is standing with you and fighting for you.

With such confidence, there’s nothing that you cannot do.
