Especially on this Easter Monday, when all I’m thinking about is the sacrifice of the cross. Jesus died for me today. His mercy over me is new every single morning. I don’t have to work on yesterday’s anointing, I don’t have to work with yesterday’s miracles. There are new miracles to be seen, new frontiers to conquer. There is something fresh and new and exciting every single day in the walk with the Lord.
I try to remind myself that God’s love compels. Once I keep my eyes on God and His love, my relationship with Him will be vibrant and exciting. If you’re ever afraid of where you’re headed in God, please rest. You’re not powerful enough to overturn God’s will. If you submit to Him, He will lead you and guide you to where He wants you to do.
Go up to Jerusalem with Jesus. What’s your Jerusalem? Where is your gaze? Follow Jesus. No matter the cost and no matter the condition. Fix your eyes on Him. It is simultaneously the most powerful and most docile action for any believer.
