The Privilege of Writing

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! I’m doing fine, and just when I’m feeling settled into my internship, I realize that time is nearly up. I spoke with one of my friends about this and she reminded me that this is the point of an internship; just enough time for you to get used to things, but not get too comfortable. In all, I am immensely grateful for this summer. I have learnt a lot, and I am very grateful that I haven’t been too mentally challenged. After all, it’s still summer time! I did not do any writing in the month of July- the entire month. Once, I started this post to share my thoughts on how challenging writing is, especially when one has a full time 9-5 job, and is trying to have a life as well. I have come to realize that sacrifices are part of life, and that prioritizing is immensely important. However, the story is not all sad and soppy. While I have not been able to …

What now?

Well, well, well! Friends, about my last post, ALA results are out! However, I won’t indulge your curiosity because this blog isn’t about my brother, and his school applications 🙂 This blog is about this often confused young girl (or woman, whaaa?) throwing herself into the strong muscular arms of a God that’s bigger than the biggest, and wiser than the wisest. This is me making sense of my thoughts, and hoping that as I share my journey, the Holy Spirit will inspire someone to lend me (or gain?) some wisdom. I write words I wish someone will speak to me in the different situations I face. So if you want to be creepy, you can call my number and read my blog posts aloud to me. I kid, I kid. That said, please remember that if there are things you want me to write about/ questions you have about stuff, I’m definitely open to writing about those! Anyway, here is today’s topic, which is a follow up from last time’s. Picture this: God has …

Three Things

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Fellow East Coast people, I hope the snow isn’t too depressing! For today, I would like to share three things that have been on my mind for a while- emotional pain, blogging, and 50 Shades of Grey. 1. Moriah– I started a blog when I turned 18 two years ago. Somewhere along the line, I became convicted that I wasn’t ready to blog, so I deleted the site. That’s how serious I have always intended to take a blog whenever I did start one. Barely a month into launching this new blog, I am already running out of ideas.

Sit by me, hold my hand, and tell me it’s going to be Okay…

2:39am ‘Lord Jesus, sit by me, hold my hand, and tell me it’s going to be okay.’ She clears a section of her bed, invites Him to take a seat, and repeats the words: ‘Lord Jesus, sit by me, hold my hand, and tell me it’s going to be okay’. Mummy always says whenever something bothers you, take a chair, place it across from you, and invite the Lord to take a seat. Have a conversation with Him, and talk as though to your friend. Then wait for Him to respond. Listen to your heart, for He speaks in the still small voice. He will direct you, He will never forsake you, He will always answer you.

Three of the Ways I Am Creating My Dream Woman

Something changed within me when I turned 20. It was the dawning of a new decade- one that may very well witness several milestones in my life- graduation from college, my first full time job, marriage, and children. I thought long and hard about the woman I want to be ten years from now, and suffice to so say that I came up with a pretty impressive list (by my own standards)
